We Care Like Family
‘This is Betty and her daughter Julia, hugging for the first time in months. Earlier this week was our first day that we were allowed indoor visits. Thankfully at our care home (Crossways Sutton) the kind owners purchased rapid tests, so each family member has to take the test, have their temperature taken and fill in forms first. We’ve allocated our activities room for visits, so once they’ve tested negative they don PPE and can finally have physical contact with their loved ones. It’s been hard work ensuring we book each family in to see their relative, while ensuring the residents are comfortable.
‘I can’t express how hard our home has worked throughout this crisis making sure our residents and families have the best possible and safe contact. That day was amazing for us all; I’m sure you can imagine there were a lot of happy tears!
‘Betty is such a kind, sweet and cheeky lady – it brought smiles to us all when she was finally able to hug Julia.’
