May was a delightful month at Crossways Nursing Home, filled with a variety of activities that brought joy and sunshine to our residents. Early one Wednesday, Sarah, Zara and Lisa visited Woodcote Garden Centre, returning with beautiful flowers that brightened our garden as residents enjoyed planting them. A highlight of the month was celebrating Doreen’s 100th Birthday with a lovely afternoon tea, attended by family, friends and Madam Deputy Mayor, Cllr Louise Phelan. The celebration was a heartwarming event for everyone. Additionally, our sensory projector saw plenty of use, and we introduced a new sensory tool, RITA—a touch screen digital therapy system that merges interactive entertainment with therapeutic benefits, enhancing the well-being of our residents.
